The parade this year featured around 40 musicians from
Lions Youth Brass leading the Carnival Queen, Susannah Davies riding in
an open top vintage Rolls Royce.

First prize for an animal costume was won by Francesca
Lindsay (left).
Second prize went to two ducklings. Trophy for best float went to Cranberry
Schools.

The main event was Bernie Bennett's high wire act and
there was also a display by John Whitely of geese herding using a sheepdog.

The dog show by Alsager Animals in Need was again very popular. Live music was provided by The Nurons The finale was the balloon race. |

Joint 2nd place Safari Hunt Winner. Runners Up. We would like to thank everyone who took part in Alsagers first ever safari, whether it was making a display or hunting the animals. We would also like to thank Alsagers Town Council & Alsagers Round Table for their generous support. Also Mr K Lancaster of TBE Talke for printing of the display entry forms, Doveys Office Supplys for the printing of the Safari Maps. And to Fryers Newsagents, Alsager Shoe Repairs, The Council Information Centre, Colin Corbetts Butchers and Shady Grove Stores for selling the maps. I am sure you will all agree that it has been a huge success and will become a annual feature in Alsagers Calendar.
