Golden Jubilee Carnival - 1st June 2002

		The 2002 Carnival was organised by Alsager Round Table with help from many charitable and other organisations. On a beautiful sunny day the event started with a parade through the town centre which featured many impressive floats and continued with festivities in Milton Park.
		Among the many groups taking part were:- Alsager & District Mini Club Cranberry,Pikemere, Highfields Schools Alsager Library Alsager Together St. Lukes Hospice
		Chernobyl Childrens Project Alsager Community Theatre Save The Children South Cheshire Home Education National Childbirth Trust Alsager Youth Project
		Many activities took place in Milton Park:-
		Here stunt rider Kieran Lee (7) on his quad bike leaps a row of 5 double decker buses! The bouncy castle was very popular.
		Escapologist Steve Gordon narrowly escapes from the exploding coffin. Juggler and fire eater Alexis entertained the crowd. Also there was a pet show organised by Alsager Animals in Need.
