This beautiful park is located at Astbury Mere,
the site of a former sand quarry.

Information Centre The Visitor Centre has a separate access road from the A34. It can be hired for community events and childrens' parties. Kitchen facilities are available.
The park is open daily from 9am to 5pm and has parking for 80 cars plus facilities for the disabled.
Dogs should be kept on a lead.
The park is owned by the Astbury Mere Trust, a registered charity, and is managed for the benefit of wildlife whilst being freely available for the public to use and enjoy.

The windsurfing etc is managed by Astbury Sailsports

The lake is owned by Stoke on Trent Angling Society

Visitor Centre Displays

A leaflet is available from the visitor centre with a programme of Summer Events suitable for adults and children:-

  • guided walks with local history
  • bird spotting ( also bat study evenings )
  • fun activities for 8-12 year olds
  • kite flying
  • combined ramble/canal cruises
  • cycling
Wildlife in the park

There is a path by the lakeside to the Visitor Centre, which is a pleasant walk of about 0.5 miles.
