1958 - 1960
I was at B.H.S. Aged 8 - 10, the last 2 years that Mrs. Massey was owner/headmistress. I was in Howard & Aston dormitories. Matron was Maureen O'Hara and Ruth (?) her assistant. I still have the school photo for 1958/9 and I remember some of my contemporaries; Kay Harrison, Wendy, Alison Cookson & her sister, Jean Snyder, Ruth (?) to name a few. If u remember me please contact me for a trip down memory lane 50 years on...I remember Mrs Palmer teaching us French, being the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland, swimming in the River Dane on hot summer days after the long walk behind the Hall , church on Sundays and being hungry so filling up on bread & marg from the huge bread tins, and kneeling in front of Mrs.Massey's room as punishment! Happy days....
