HuxleyHall. The hub of this historic Manor house dates from the 13th century, with its Elizabethan staircase, low beams and antiques. It stands in open countryside and there are lovely views across to the Cheshire hills where, on a clear day, three castles can be seen. Discover the ancient city of Chester or the old market town of Nantwich, which used to supply salt to traders in medieval times. It has a wealth of Elizabethan and Georgian houses and a wonderful Gothic church.
There is a 40ft. indoor swimming pool, which is usually heated in summer. The guest rooms are very private on a separate floor with magnificent views. During summer months a minimum of two nights over a weekend preferred. A no smoking house.
Directions to Higher Huxley Hall, Huxley, Chester Take M6. Leave at junction 16 towards Nantwich (A500). Follow directions towards Chester on A51. After village of Tilstone Fearnall, at traffic lights turn left onto A49 towards Whitchurch. After approximately ¾ mile, turn right to Huxley. After 3 miles turn left by chapel in Huxley, go past 'Farmers Arms' pub, to 'T' junction. Turn left and immediately right down named tarmac drive to Higher Huxley Hall | |
