The Alsager Group of the family History Society of Cheshire meet at Wesley Place Methodist Church, Alsager on the 3rd Monday of each month EXCEPT July, when there is a visit to a local place of interest, and August when there is no meeting. We start at 7.30pm with a short introduction and "what's on" followed by a talk. Recent topics have included 'how to trace army records', 'servants in the country house', 'sufragettes', 'my life in the workhouse' etc. Entry is open to members, non-members and visitors. The cost is £1, which includes tea / coffee and biscuits. We can give advice on how to research your family and have an extensive book and CD library. Details of meetings are posted in the Alsager Information Centre, in the Library and also in surrounding towns and villages.
